Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of Speechka, including the Speechka website, Mac desktop app, authentication, billing, trial access, subscriptions, credits, personal voice features, translation sessions, and support. Speechka is operated by an individual developer. By creating an account, buying access, or using Speechka, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Speechka provides

Speechka provides real-time speech translation and personal voice output for live conversations. The app can listen to your microphone, transcribe speech, translate text, generate translated voice output, and route that output to call tools through a virtual microphone such as BlackHole.

Speechka is not a certified interpreter, emergency service, medical service, legal service, financial service, or accessibility service. Transcription, translation, timing, and generated voice output may be inaccurate, delayed, incomplete, or unavailable. You are responsible for reviewing important translations before relying on them.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Speechka. If the law where you live requires a higher age to use online services, that higher age applies. You may sign in with email/password or Google sign-in. You are responsible for your account, your credentials, and all activity under your account.

3. Plans, trial, and credits

  • Trial access costs $7.99 and includes 20 trial credits for 7 days. Trial access can be used once per account.
  • Pro subscription costs $29.99 per month and includes 180 subscription credits each billing period.
  • Additional credit packages may be purchased separately: 60 credits for $9.99, 180 credits for $24.99, or 360 credits for $39.99.
  • One credit equals about one minute of personal voice translation. Actual usage may vary slightly because session duration, setup time, retry behavior, network conditions, provider latency, and processing can affect measurement.
  • Trial credits, subscription credits, and additional credits are separate balances and may be displayed separately in the app.
  • Unused trial credits expire when trial access expires or is terminated. Subscription credits are provided for the relevant billing period. Additional credits remain available while your account remains active, unless fraud, abuse, chargeback, legal requirement, or account/security issue requires restriction.

4. Billing, renewals, and cancellation

Payments are processed by Stripe. Speechka does not store full payment card numbers. Prices are listed in USD unless Stripe displays another currency during checkout.

Pro subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled. You can manage or cancel a subscription through the Speechka app and Stripe customer portal. If you cancel a Pro subscription, access remains active until the end of the paid billing period unless the app says otherwise. Trial access does not automatically become Pro unless you choose and pay for Pro.

When you confirm a paid plan, Stripe checkout or customer portal may open in your browser. You are responsible for completing checkout and returning to Speechka. Access changes are applied after payment or billing events are confirmed.

5. Refunds

Refunds are handled under the Refund Policy. Refunds are generally not provided for used credits, expired trial access, active subscription periods that provided access, or additional credits that were already consumed, except where required by law or approved after review.

6. Personal voice and permissions

You may only create, record, upload, replace, or use a voice sample that belongs to you or that you have clear permission to use. You must not use Speechka to impersonate another person, clone a voice without permission, mislead listeners about who is speaking, or create deceptive audio.

You remain responsible for how you use generated voice output in calls, recordings, streams, demos, meetings, and other contexts. If disclosure is required by law, platform rules, professional standards, or the circumstances of a conversation, you are responsible for making that disclosure.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use Speechka to violate law, harass, threaten, defraud, impersonate, infringe rights, create or distribute harmful content, bypass usage limits, interfere with the service, reverse engineer Speechka, scrape protected systems, or use the service in a way that harms Speechka, users, providers, or third parties. More detail is available in the Acceptable Use Policy.

8. Third-party providers

Speechka depends on third-party providers for authentication, payments, database services, transcription, translation, voice generation, hosting, email, and related infrastructure. Providers may include Supabase, Stripe, Google, OpenAI, Deepgram, ElevenLabs, Render, Namecheap, and Resend. Availability, accuracy, latency, and feature quality may depend on those providers. See the Subprocessors page for more information.

9. Account deletion and data

You can request account deletion in the app or by contacting support. Deleting your account may remove access to credits, voice samples, settings, and app data. Some billing, security, fraud prevention, tax, dispute, and compliance records may be retained where required by law or legitimate business needs. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.

10. Availability and changes

Speechka may change, suspend, or discontinue features, pricing, credit packages, providers, or parts of the service. Speechka may also restrict or suspend access for security, abuse prevention, unpaid charges, chargebacks, provider failures, legal reasons, or violation of these Terms.

11. Disclaimers

Speechka is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect translation accuracy, perfect transcription accuracy, exact voice similarity, compatibility with every app, device, language, microphone, virtual audio driver, or operating system, or that Speechka will meet every use case.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speechka and the individual developer operating it will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, lost business, business interruption, reputational harm, or losses caused by inaccurate translations, provider failures, call setup issues, or user misuse.

13. Changes to these Terms

Material changes to these Terms will be posted on this website. If changes materially affect paid access, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the website, app, email, or billing flow. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Policies incorporated by reference

The Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Subprocessors page, and Legal Notice are incorporated into these Terms where applicable.
